ELMHURST – Meagan Marie Benes and Joseph Ernest Dovidio, both of Lombard, were married in a double-ring ceremony at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at Visitation Catholic Church in Elmhurst. The Rev. Matthew Pratscher officiated.
She is the daughter of Robert and Marianne Benes of Lombard. He is the son of Thomas and Janet Dovidio of Woodstock.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Elizabeth Benes of Lombard. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Valentine, Amanda Zelechoski, Cathy Dovidio, Theresa Dao, Jessica Rodriguez, Leanne Potempa and Kari Giles Lacy. Flower girl was Megan Edwards of Pine Mountain Club, Calif.
Best man was Dr. Chip Dovidio of Woodstock. Groomsmen were John Valentine, Steve Zelechoski, Michael Whalen, Ryan Cello, Michael Gibbons, Martin Puc and Dan Lacy. Ushers were Keith Curren, Kolbe Kasper and Juan Rodriguez. Ring bearers were Andrew Dovidio of Woodstock and A. J. Valentine of Wheaton.
The reception took place at Beau Jolie by Victoria in Schiller Park. The couple have plans for a wedding trip to St. Lucia in June.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Montini High School in Lombard and a 2008 graduate of Benedictine University in Lisle. She is a facilities rental supervisor for the city of Elmhurst.
The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Bishop Amat High School in La Puente, Calif., a 2006 graduate of St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Ind., and a 2010 graduate of National Louis University in Lisle with a Master of Arts in teaching. He is a substitute teacher and personal trainer.
They make their home in Lombard.
