CHICAGO – Margaret Mitchell of Cary and Christopher de Figueiredo of Jersey, United Kingdom, were married in a double-ring ceremony at 1 p.m. Aug.13, 2011, at St. Mary of Perpetual Help in Chicago. The Rev. Donald Craig officiated.
She is the daughter of Michael and Peggy Mitchell of Cary. He is the son of Richard and Angela de Figueiredo of Jersey, United Kingdom.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white strapless taffeta gown with a drop waist and jeweled detailing on the bodice.
She carried a cascading bouquet of roses, orchids and freesia.
Maid of honor was Ashley Gradowski of Cary, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Mitchell, sister-in-law of the bride; Mary Donahoo of Milwaukee, Sam Damiano of Chicago and Kendall Hugel of Cary, all friends of the bride. Flower girl was Micaela Mitchell, niece of the bride.
Best man was Will Grimwade of London, friend of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Nick de Figueiredo of Jersey and Ben de Figueiredo of Jersey, both brothers of the bridegroom; and Jake Mitchell of McHenry, Billy Mitchell of McHenry and Steven Mitchell of Cary, all brothers of the bride. Ushers were Chris Phillips of London and Dave Finley of Bath, both friends of the bridegroom.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Cary Grove High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Bachelor of Arts in business marketing.
She is the personal stylist manager at Nordstrom in Schaumburg.
The bridegroom is a 2009 graduate of St. Mary’s University, London, with a BSc degree in sports science.
He is a personal trainer at Equinox Gym in Highland Park.
The couple met when they were both students at St. Mary’s University in London in 2008.
They make their home in Wauconda.
