Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox to host COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Wednesday

The New Lenox hospital is offering vaccinations for residents age 12 and up

Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox announced it will host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic next week for residents age 12 and up, after U.S. regulators authorized the use of the Pfizer vaccine for younger teens.

The clinic will take place on Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the hospital’s conference center, located at 1900 Silver Cross Boulevard in New Lenox, according to the announcement.

A second clinic may be scheduled on Friday, May 21, dependent on demand, the hospital added.

Silver Cross Hospital spokeswoman Debra Robbins stressed that a parent or legal guardian must accompany anyone between the ages of 12 and 17 who come in to be vaccinated.

Anyone wanting to make an appointment for a shot can do so online at silvercross.org/vaccine.
