Lincoln-Way D-210 board to vote on upcoming project bids

The Lincoln-Way High School District 210 Board will vote on multiple school and district wide projects. The board will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Lincoln-Way Central.

A few months ago, the district went through a list of repairs needed around the district, including roof replacement and restoration at Central, blacktop projects at West that will include concrete pads for the baseball and softball field bleachers, and structural recoating of the track.

It will also include stadium turf replacement at West, as the current turf is at the end of its life and the deterioration has made it “impossible to keep the field safe and playable in the near future.”

The board will also make decisions on the purchase of more staff and student tablet devices that will allow it begin to go through with its 1-to-1 technology program.

Another agenda item is the board voting to approve a five-year bus lease. In the past, the district has leased its busses on a year-to-year basis.
