New Lenox School D122 board meeting day students return to in-person learning

New Lenox School District 122 will meet Tuesday, marking its first meeting since students returned to in-person learning. Following the holiday, students spent two weeks remote learning.

The change to remote learning happened around Thanksgiving. Students remained remote following Thanksgiving break and through the holiday season.

But the return to in-person learning will now also require families to do their self certifications every day. There were times early in the year that there was not 100% completion rate across the district, which is something the district kept talking about.

Tuesday’s meeting will also provide updates as to how remote learning has gone and allow for discussion to make sure the rest of the year can go smoothly.

The board will vote on a variety of smaller items and the public is welcome and able to speak if they are interested.

The New Lenox village board on Monday also reminded residents to be careful on the roads as school busses and children will be out much more often.
