No arrests have been made in the two weeks since a shooting at a Romeoville bowling alley left five people wounded.
Romeoville Deputy Police Chief Brant Hromadka said this week the shooting is still under investigation and police are following up on some leads.
“There have been no arrests made to this point,” Hromadka said in an email.
He did confirm the five people who were shot were all released from the hospital.
About 1 a.m. Feb. 6, officers were called to Bowlero off north Weber Road near the Interstate 55 interchange for a report of a shooting, police said.
Officers and paramedics tended to three gunshot victims – a 23-year-old man, 26-year-old woman, and a 25-year-old man – who were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. A 26-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman left and went to AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center in Bolingbrook where they were treated and released.
Police said the gunman fled after the shooting.
A preliminary investigation indicated the shooting was precipitated by a physical altercation at the bowling alley, but Hromadka declined to elaborate.
“Regarding the individuals that were shot, the case is still pending and we cannot comment on the relationships at this point,” he said.
The Romeoville Police Department is investigating the shooting and asked anyone with information to call detectives at 815-886-7219.
