Plainfield Park District to host free party on Aug. 14

The family-friendly event will be held at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center

The Plainfield Park District will host a free party to close out the summer at its Prairie Activity & Recreation Center next month.

The free event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 14. The PARC is located at 24550 W. Renwick Road in Plainfield.

The event is open to the pubic and will include inflatables, touch a fire truck from the Plainfield Fire Protection District, games and kid’s crafts, according to a news release. No registration is required to attend.

Parking lot bingo will begin at 2 p.m. and steel drum artist Scott Johnson will perform from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

Concessions from Champs Smokin’ BBQ and Fiesta Taco will also be on sale during the event.

The Plainfield Park District is the ninth largest in the state serving more than 105,000 residents in both Will and Kendall counties.
