Will County Clerk Lauren Staley Ferry announced a new online form that the public can use to request birth, marriage and death certificates.

The new vital record electronic request form recently launched on the Will County Clerk’s website, according to a news release. The new form is meant to make it more convenient for qualifying individuals to complete and submit their requests.

“My goal has always been to streamline the delivery of services to the public at every access point,” Staley Ferry said in a statement. “This request form should greatly speed the process for people who are seeking copies of Birth, Marriage, or Death Certificates.”

Requesters can use their mobile devices to take a picture of their identification, complete the form and submit the entire package.

Previously, the public had to download the form from the website, complete it, scan it, and email it back to the Will County Clerk’s office with identification.

The new form can be accessed at thewillcountyclerk.com by clicking the individual links for either birth, marriage, or death certificates under the “Vital Records” section on the website. The appropriate fee will be provided once the applicant completes their form.
