A man caught in a grooming sting at La Mex in Joliet has been charged with possessing child pornography on his cellphone, according to court records.
On Monday, Judge Victoria Breslan signed a $250,000 bond warrant for the arrest of Joshua Radetski, 46, of the 600 block of Applegate Lane.
Prosecutors charged Radetski with possessing child pornography on his Samsung Galaxy cellphone. The case was investigated by Joliet police.
Radetski was last in jail on Oct. 21. He was arrested in connection with a child grooming sting conducted by the Save Our Siblings group.
Prosecutors alleged in a criminal complaint that the location of the sting was at La Mex, 3157 W. Jefferson St.
Save Our Siblings member Shane Divis adopted the persona a 16-year-old girl to communicate with Radestki on a dating app, according to Joliet police and prosecutors.
“Further investigation determined that Radetski had traveled to Joliet to meet the purported 16-year-old female for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity,” Joliet police officials said.
Radetski was transported to the Will County jail and charged with indecent solicitation of a child, traveling to meet a child, unlawful grooming and solicitation to meet a child.
A criminal complaint alleged Radetski traveled to La Mex “for the purpose of engaging in unlawful sexual conduct with another person believed by him to be a child under the age of 17.”
Radetski’s bond was set at $500,000. Judge Dave Carlson granted a motion from Radetski’s attorney, Steven Haney, to lower his client’s bond.
Radetski’s bond was reduced to $250,000 and his father bonded him out of jail on Oct. 21, court records show.
