Intoxicated motorist drove on 2 flats with 2 kids in car: cops

A Joliet man driving under the influence on two flat tires had two children in the car with him, police said.

Bacillo Valle, 40, was pulled over on Maple Road at Ridgewood Avenue shortly before 1:30 a.m. Monday by officers who noticed the “vehicle’s driver-side tires appeared to be flat with apparent recent heavy damage to the vehicle,” according to police.

“Officers identified Valle as the driver. Officers also noted Valle’s two children (were) in the vehicle, ages 8 and 11 years of age,” police said.

Valle admitted he had been drinking and “exhibited signs of alcohol impairment,” according to police, and he also failed field sobriety tests.

Officers also determined Valle had earlier struck a sign post on North Broadway Street, police said.

The mother of the children arrived at the scene of the traffic stop and took parental custody of the youths, police said.

Valle was arrested and taken to the Will County jail.

On Monday, Prosecutors filed charges of aggravated driving under the influence and causing a child to be endangered, court records show.
