A Chicago man threatened to shoot a female patron at Harrah’s Casino in downtown Joliet and jumped on a table when he was escorted from the business, police said.

At 10:43 p.m. Monday, officers responded to Harrah’s Casino after receiving a report of a patron causing a disturbance, Joliet police said.

The officers arrived at the scene and determined that Peter McCloud, 35, of the 800 block of North Monticello Avenue in Humboldt Park allegedly had been causing a disturbance while playing at a gaming table and refusing to leave, police said.

“McCloud left the gaming table and went to the designated smoking area, where he began a verbal disturbance and threatened to shoot a female patron,” police said.

McCloud was then escorted to the coat check area to gather his belongings, at which time he “jumped on a table and demanded his belongings,” police said.

McCloud was detained by Harrah’s security for officers, who then placed him under arrest, police said.

McCloud was arrested on probable cause of criminal trespass to property, disorderly conduct and assault. He was released on his own recognizance.

McCloud is scheduled to appear in court May 24.

On March 7, Joliet police arrested Cassidy Canavan, 20, of Monee and Mario Barrios-Reyes, 24, of Lockport at Harrah’s after the two refused to leave and Canavan pushed a security guard, police said.

Officers also found Barrios-Reyes was in possession of Adderall and Xanax pills without proof of a prescription, police said.
