A Park Forest man facing charges alleging he kidnapped, sexually assaulted and attacked a woman has been released from jail after his mother posted his bond, court records show.

On March 11, Eariss Dean, 31, of the first block of South Arbor Trail was released from the Will County jail after his mother, a Dolton resident, posted 10% of his $500,000 bond, court records show.

Dean was charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault, aggravated battery, aggravated unlawful restraint and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

The charges alleged that on Feb. 28, Dean committed sexual assault “by threat of force while armed with a firearm” by displaying a firearm to a woman and demanding she perform a sex act him.

The charges further alleged that Dean struck her in the head, detained her while using a firearm and carried a Taurus handgun while he had not been issued a valid firearm owner’s identification card.

A judge ordered Dean not to consume alcohol or drugs while out on bond and to stay under house arrest with GPS monitoring, court records show.

Dean’s affadavit of assets and liabilities indicated he works for Canadian National Railway.

About 6 p.m. on Feb. 28, the Park Forest Police Department was informed by another police agency that a Chicago woman with serious injuries to her face had reported she was attacked and kidnapped, according to Park Forest Police Chief Christopher Mannino.

“The victim suffered a broken jaw and is recuperating, and we wish her a full recovery following this traumatic incident,” Mannino said.

The woman was receiving treatment at a hospital and reported that while at a home on Arbor Trail in Park Forest, she was attacked and then forced to accompany a man at gunpoint while she was driven around the area, Mannino said.

“She also reported being sexually assaulted,” he said.

Park Forest police detectives commenced an investigation and identified Dean as the suspect, Mannino said.

The Will County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed evidence in the case and a judge authorized a search warrant for Dean’s residence, Mannino said.

The search warrant was executed at his residence and evidence was recovered by detectives, he said. A crime scene investigation unit with Illinois State Police provided assistance.
