It was smooth sailing for Lockport’s girls volleyball team in a 25-19, 25-13 nonconference win over Providence on Wednesday in Lockport.
Nadia Goich had six kills and three blocks in the win for the Porters (7-1), and Cam DeBlecourt added 13 digs and 10 assists.
Oswego 2, Minooka 0: At Oswego, the Panthers remain unbeaten after a 25-17, 25-22 Southwest Prairie Conference win over Minooka.
Emma Harper had nine kills in the loss for Minooka (3-3, 2-2 SPC), Anna Baranski had 15 assists, and Ashlyn Bercynski made 12 digs.
Wilmington 2, Reed-Custer 1: At Braidwood, Wilmington came away with a road win in a back-and-forth 25-18, 20-25, 25-22 match against the Comets.
Nazareth 2, Joliet Catholic 1: At La Grange Park, the Angels failed to maintain momentum after a first-set win and lost to Nazareth, 18-25, 25-23, 25-12, in East Suburban Catholic Conference play.
Emily Surin had 11 kills, six digs and five blocks in the loss for JCA (6-4, 2-3), Alexis Mines had 10 kills and five digs, and Ryan Hinshaw ha 21 assists to go with eight digs.

Stagg 4, Lincoln-Way Central 3: At New Lenox, two goals for Eddie Rafacz still weren’t enough for the Knights in a SouthWest Suburban Conference home loss at home to Stagg.
