Plainfield Fire Protection District collecting new toys for Toys for Tots

The Plainfield Fire Protection District is asking the community to support its toy drive for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program this holiday season. Pictured are donations received during the holidays in a pre-COVID year.

Consider making the holidays brighter for a child in need with the donation of a new toys.

The Plainfield Fire Protection District is once again collecting new toy donations for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots.

Toys must be new and in their original packaging. Do not gift-wrap them. The deadline to donate is Dec. 5.

Here are the drop-off locations in Plainfield: Fire Station 1,14415 S. Coil Plus Drive; Fire Station 2, 23806 W. 135th St.; Fire Station 3, 25001 W. 119th St.; Fire Station 4 is at 15930 S. Frederick St.; and the fire district Headquarters from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, 23748 W. 135th St.
