Plainfield church to host COVID-19 vaccine clinic Saturday and Sunday

Clinic is for 1st dose, ages 12 and up

St. Mary Immaculate Church in Plainfield is hosting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2p.m. Sunday.

The clinic will offer the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine to ages 12 and up. A second clinic will be held in three weeks for the second dose.

The Centers for Disease Control recommends that everyone ages 12 and up receive the vaccine. Currently, only the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine has received the emergency use authorization for ages 12 to 15.

The church is located at 15629 S. Rt. 59 Plainfield. Enter through Door B for the vaccine clinic.
