Joliet police report that the Ruby Street bridge downtown is shut down.
The drawbridge has been “out of service due to power outage related issues” since before 11 a.m., according to the police department Facebook page.
It’s the second time this week that the bridge has stopped working. On Tuesday morning, the bridge was out of service for five hours because of grime and debris on a sensor, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.
