Ottawa man, 20, accused of sexually abusing 14-year-old

DIXON – A 20-year-old Ottawa man accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl is in Lee County jail on $100,000 bond.

Devin A. Gende was arrested Wednesday in the 200 block of South Hennepin Avenue and charged in Lee County Court with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

According to court documents, the abuse occurred in May. Gende, who had a bond hearing Thursday afternoon, faces a possible 3 to 7 years on each count if convicted.
