St. Mary’s invites Newman students over for a day of play

St. Mary’s School in Sterling invited high school students from Newman Central Catholic for a few hours of play Thursday in recognition of Catholic Schools Week and the National Day of Play.

It was a chance for the youngest students to be guided by the older ones in playing games such as Twister and to build things using wooden toy logs and Lego bricks.

Catholic school students from Sterling, Dixon and Rock Falls celebrated an all-school Mass on Friday at Newman.
