STERLING — A remembrance ceremony for the 80th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor will be 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, at Sterling American Legion Post 296, 601 First Avenue.
There will be a rifle salute and the playing of Taps.

The military strike by Japan’s navy and air service against the United States naval base in Honolulu and other installations took place shortly before 8 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, 1941. The U.S. entered World War II the following day.
