Letter: Work to stop climate change

keyboard

There are many issues in today’s world. But one of the most important is global warming/climate change. This is an issue because it causes species of animals to struggle more and many places are having higher temperatures which can be dangerous to nature. The National Geographic found that, “Rising temperatures are affecting wildlife and their habitats. Vanishing ice has challenged species such as the Adélie penguin in Antarctica, where some populations on the western peninsula have collapsed by 90% or more.” This shows that if we keep using gas cars and keep putting pollution into the air then more species are going to go extinct. This is not fair to those species and we need to put in more effort to save some of these ancient species. Also, the National Geographic mentioned that, “Yet some regions are experiencing more severe drought, increasing the risk of wildfires, lost crops, and drinking water shortages.” This information means that our nature will start to go if we don’t take action against global warming. If we put the effort into keeping our environment less polluted by putting less gases into the atmosphere then we won’t have to suffer that much in the drought/wildfire respect. I really hope that this issue will be solved soon so that our environment and Earth can thrive.
