Letter: In defense of young Black males

To the Editor:

As a Black male, I feel it is so important to write in in defense of young Black males. They have been written off by our world.

We must work in unity to protect these lives. They need to get a good start in life. Look to a solid education and a loving family. And fathers need to be great role models.

We have to put an end to the big lie that takes the lives of countless Black males every day – abortion. This lie, like so many white lies, was allowed to keep Blacks from having a strong Black community. A lie that we are using to eliminate our own flesh and blood.

The news media needs to step up and use these facts. Silence is compliance.
