Crystal Lake Boutique Walk to benefit nonprofit Turning Point

As part of the event, shoppers will receive special offers and savings June 4 and 5 and ticket sales will benefit the domestic violence resource

Ten of downtown Crystal Lake’s boutiques have partnered for a Boutique Walk to benefit Turning Point, the area’s domestic violence resource.

As part of the event, shoppers will receive special offers and savings June 4 and 5, according to a news release. Each boutique is selling tickets for the event, and all ticket proceeds will be donated to Turning Point.

“Domestic violence is prevalent in all communities, (and) we are grateful for the services provided by Turning Point,” event coordinator Sherree Rothstein of The Clothes Gallery said in the release. “The Downtown Crystal Lake boutique owners want to help Turning Point while encouraging folks to shop local for fantastic fashion and fun.”

The shops participating in Boutique Walk are located near Williams Street in downtown Crystal Lake and include: The Clothes Gallery, Ms. Bossy Boots, Heisler’s Bootery, Wear Did U Get That!, Mum’s, Out of the Box, Shay, Crown & Contour, Lizzy Lou Boutique and Lulu’s Wiggin’ Out.

Ticket price is $15 if purchased by June 3 or $20 if purchased on the days of the event. Ticket sales are also available online.

Turning Point is a Woodstock-based nonprofit that provides services and support for families and individuals impacted by domestic violence. Resources include emergency shelter, prevention programs, intervention, victim services, outreach and legal advocacy.
