Crystal Lake Park District Active Senior Center to reopen March 3

Reservations required for drop-in domino, card games

The Crystal Lake Park District Active Senior Center at Grand Oaks is scheduled to reopen on March 3, .

Drop-in activities will be held 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday through Friday at the center, located at 1401 W. Route 176, Crystal Lake. Wednesdays will feature hand and foot (limit 12 people), Thursdays triple play (limit 12) and Fridays beanbag baseball (limit 22).

Admission is free, but reservations are required 24 hours in advance. Reservations can be made by calling 815-459-0680. Same-day drop-ins will only be allowed if the maximum number allowed has not been met by reservations.

Masks are required in the center, according to a news release. A self-check list will also posted at the center that each person must read it before entering; waivers will also need to be signed prior to entrance. Seniors also must sanitize their hands upon entry and hand sanitizer will be provided at game tables. Participants will be spaced 6 feet apart and use trays to pass cards or dominos
