Child taken to hospital after being injured by BB gun in Woodstock

A child was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life threatening after being injured by a BB gun in Woodstock on Saturday.

The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded at 12:10 p.m. to a residential dwelling in the 1400 block of Commons Drive for reports of an individual who had been injured by a BB gun, according to a press release.

When on the scene, crews evaluated a single juvenile patient, who was then airlifted to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge as a precautionary measure.

The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District said in the news release that this was an isolated incident, adding that they could not comment further or disclose patient information.
