Friends of MCC Foundation awards more than $300,000 in scholarships last year

The Friends of McHenry County College Foundation welcomed more than 110 scholarship donors and recipients for an appreciation breakfast March 11 to thank and honor donors who make scholarships available to MCC students.

The foundation awarded more than $331,000 in scholarships to more than 640 students in 2021 alone, according to a news release.

The foundation is accepting applications for fall scholarships until April 3.

Scholarship opportunities include a variety of criteria based on area of study, educational and career goals, GPA, extracurricular activities and financial need. Interested students can apply at www.mchenry.edu/scholarships.
