High school sports roundup for Saturday, Nov. 20

Alyssa Franklin recorded a double-double with 22 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks for McHenry in a 58-41 win over Lakes at the Maine East Thanksgiving Tournament in Park Ridge on Saturday.

Maddi Friedle added six points and 11 rebounds for the Warriors (2-1).

South Elgin 64, Crystal Lake South 40: At Carpentersville, the Gators came up short at the Dundee-Crown Thanksgiving Tournament.

Kree Nunnally accounted for nearly half of the scoring for South (1-2), putting up 18 in the loss.

Huntley 41, Palatine 37: At Carpentersville, the Red Raiders improved to 2-1 overall with a win over the Pirates at the Dundee-Crown Tournament.

Morgan McCaughn and Jessie Ozzauto led Huntley with 10 points each.

Jacobs 54, Streamwood 17: At Carpentersville, Jacobs held Streamwood to only three points in the entire second half in a blowout win at the Dundee-Crown Tournament.

Mackenzie Leahy led the Golden Eagles (1-2) with 17 points.

Hersey 57, Crystal Lake Central 25: At Buffalo Grove, the Tigers (0-2) struggled to get much of anything going in a one-sided Bison Classic loss.

Katy Eidle scored 16 points in the loss.

Boylan 47, Dundee-Crown 36: At Carpentersville, Marrasia Harthrone had 11 points and three 3s in the Dundee-Crown Tournament loss.

Kendall Brents had 10 points and Thea Mercado tossed in nine.

Burlington Central 56, DeKalb 40: At Burlington, the Rockets improved to 3-1 and finished third in the Burlington Central Thanksgiving Tourmament by taking down the Barbs in the third-place game.

Taylor Charles scored 25 points and hauled in 10 rebounds in the win and Rylie DuVal scored eight. Charles, DuVal and Becca Carani each made the all-tournament team.

Prairie Ridge 52, Woodstock North 46: At Burlington, Karsen Karlblom drilled five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 24 points for the Wolves (3-1) in a close win over the Thunder at the Central Tournament. Karlblom was named to the all-tournament team.

Kelly Gende added 16 points in the win. Woodstock North (2-2) was led by Lacey Schaffter, who had 21 points.

Marengo 35, Belvidere North 30: At Burlington, Marengo ended the Central Tournament with a win over Belvidere North. Bella Frohling led the way with 11 points for the Indians (2-2).

Rolling Meadows 45, Hampshire 30: At Hoffman Estates, the Whip-Purs fell to 1-1 with a Hoffman Estates Tournament loss.

Avery Cartee scored 14 points in the loss.

Alden-Hebron 28, Mooseheart 25: At Elgin, the Giants (3-1) secured third place in the Elgin Academy Tournament with a narrow win. Jessica Webber led the way with 11 points.

Schaumburg Christian 56, Harvard 35: At the Wheaton Academy Tournament in West Chicago, the Hornets fell to 0-3 with a loss to the Conquerors. Julia Chupich had 13 points for Harvard and Nicole Garcia chipped in nine.
