Spring Grove Fire District ambulance involved in crash, 2 firefighters injured

A Spring Grove Fire Protection District ambulance was involved in a crash Friday evening on Route 12 west of Wilmot Road in Spring Grove.

The ambulance is out of service pending insurance and repairs, according to a department battalion chief.

Fire Protection District Chief Paul Klicker said two firefighters were taken to Northwestern McHenry Hospital with minor injuries, and the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.

The firefighters were treated and released Friday evening, the battalion chief said.
