Oglesby police advised city residents to lock their vehicles and garages to prevent property loss.

In a Monday news release, Police Chief Mike Margis said residents have reported a recent spate of thefts from unlocked motor vehicles – about six in the past couple of weeks – and encouraged residents to contact the department at 815-883-8404 if they see or have seen anything suspicious.
