The Child Welfare Guild will host its sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 30 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at the Ottawa VFW Post, 1501 La Salle St., Ottawa.

Volunteers collected trash during the Perfectly Flawed Foundation cleanup on Saturday near the Lock 14 shelter on the Illinois and Michigan Canal in La Salle. The event also had live music, face painting, snacks and giveaways. Organizers planed the event in honor of Earth Day earlier this week.
