The Streator Police Department are encouraging residents to lock up their bicycles and register them.

Police said there has been a high volume of calls for bicycle thefts recently.

To register a bicycle, request a registration form at the Streator Police Department, 204 S. Bloomington St., entrance on the west side of the building.
