Marseilles Rotary, Athletic Club donates trees for baseball fields

Net also was purchased for the baseball field

The Marseilles Rotary and Marseilles Athletic Club was able to provide some new shade trees at the baseball fields in Marseilles. Helping the effort are Nate Schaefer, Ed Cavanaugh, Bryan Day, Mayor Hollenbeck, Jennifer Parker and Sherri Laitila.

The Marseilles Rotary received a grant to plant trees at the baseball fields on Commercial Street in Marseilles.

The shade trees will provide needed respite on hot game days, and a net for the baseball field was purchased. Marseilles Athletic Club also donated a tree and helped the rotary through the process. Danchris Nursery in Streator provided a discount.
