Morton College Offers Open Enrollment for Summer and Fall 2021

Now is a great time to begin preparing for Summer and Fall registration at Morton College. It’s important to start the process early, as students can use this time to take any necessary placement tests, to schedule appointments with academic and/or financial aid advisors, and to turn in official transcripts from high school or other colleges, along with SAT/Advanced Placement results.

“It’s important to register early before classes are filled,” explained Courtney O’Brien, Director of Admissions and Records/Registrar for Morton College. “We currently have advisors available to help students with registration by appointment, via Zoom or over the phone. Limited in-person appointments are also available.”

Morton College offers a variety of course delivery options to support students’ needs; classes will be available on campus, online, or a hybrid of both. “For Summer semester, we’ll offer three sessions,” added O’Brien. “All the relevant dates and deadlines are posted on our website at www.morton.edu. The first 5-week Summer session begins Tuesday, June 1, the 8-week session begins Monday, June 14, and the second 5-week session begins Tuesday, July 6. Students can register up to the start of classes and during the first four days of the semester with faculty approval.” View available courses at https://selfservice.morton.edu/Student/Courses. Fall semester begins Monday, August 23.

Some added benefits for Morton College students include no late registration fees for the Summer and Fall semesters, Wifi hotspots and free laptop usage, and Panther Balance Forgiveness Grants, which help students pay previous balances.

“We encourage students to attend a two-part New Student Orientation,” said O’Brien. “First is an online orientation, and then a fun, interactive experience with games, raffles, and music will be held on August 12th. We also offer online videos, Welcome Week, a Student Involvement Fair, and Campus Tours, and an in-person Open House will be held in June.”
