Glenbard Parent Series to offer author’s virtual seminar on stress, anxiety

The Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families will present “Under Pressure: Confronting the Epidemic of Stress and Anxiety in Our Teens” with award-winning author Lisa Damour at noon Sept. 23, via Zoom.

Damour returns to GPS to examine the science of stress and anxiety, and offer practical tools to best manage emotional overload, a news release stated. Her insights offer an approach that allows individuals to keep pressure manageable during difficult times.

Damour is the author of the award-winning New York Times bestseller “Untangled: Guiding Teenage Girls Through the Seven Transitions into Adulthood” and “Under Pressure: Confronting the Epidemic of Stress and Anxiety in Girls.”

The webinar is being presented in concurrence with National Suicide Awareness Month. Continuing professional development units are available.
