Montini Catholic plans informational programs for prospective families

LOMBARD – Montini Catholic High School in Lombard announces several opportunities for prospective families to visit the campus and gather information to help them with their high school decisions.

This year, the Lasallian preparatory school will offer two open house events and also will open its doors for visits in several unique ways, a news release stated.

Parents and students interested in learning about a Catholic education at Montini are invited to join them for one or all of the informational events, with registration required. Families may register at www.montini.org, clicking on Schedule Your Visit.

Two open houses are offered, one from 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 13, and the second from noon to 5 p.m. Nov. 7.

Shadow Days give students an inside look at a day in the life of a Bronco. They are available from 7:45 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. Space is limited due to COVID-19 regulations, so families are encouraged to apply now.

Personal tours are available from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“Meet Montini Mornings” are informal information sessions with the administration and admissions team. The events include a tour of the school while classes are in session. Two more sessions are available this fall: from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Oct. 5 and Nov. 16.

Montini offers academic scholarships to incoming freshmen taking the placement exam on Dec. 4. Students can earn up to $10,000 toward their high school education. Scholarships (ranging from $1,000 to $2,500) are based on a student’s national ranking on the placement exam, and are renewable for four years.

Other scholarship opportunities can be explored by visiting the school’s website at www.montini.org/admissions.

The school is at 19W070 16th St. in Lombard and can be contacted at 630-627-6930 or admissions@montini.org.
