The DuPage County Health Department on Tuesday reported 323 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in the county, with 2 deaths:
It is the most single-day cases reported since Jan. 23.
The county now has seen a total of 83,303 coronavirus cases including 1,299 deaths, according to the healtxh department. The recovery rate among DuPage County cases as of March 30 was 98.3%.
DuPage County has administered 511,649 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. A total of 185,728 people, or 20.00% of the population, have been fully vaccinated.
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,931 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 and 31 additional deaths Tuesday, and a total of 6,413,258 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.
For Monday, 95,188 doses were reported administered in Illinois.
The West Suburban region (DuPage and Kane counties) has seen 76 consecutive days below 8%. The region’s positivity rate increased to 6.7%. Currently, 36% of ICU beds are available.
Within this region, Kane County’s seven-day positivity average increased to 7.4% and DuPage County’s increased to 6.4%.
Hospitalizations have increased nine out of the past 10 days in this region.
By town, Wheaton has had 4,459 total cases, Glen Ellyn 3,153, Lombard 4,291, Villa Park 2,506, Hinsdale 1,439, Westmont 2,098, Darien 1,775, Woodridge 2,662, Downers Grove 4,326, Elmhurst 4,350, Warrenville 1,297 and Winfield 1,087. Addison has had 4,798 confirmed cases, Naperville 7,808, Carol Stream 4,388 and West Chicago 4,309.
