The Seneca girls track and field team captured the program's 13th consecutive Class 1A sectional title on Thursday at Seneca High School.
Teams from Aurora Christian, Beecher, Dwight, Earlville, Hinckley-Big Rock, Kankakee-McNamara, Lisle, Momence, Newark, Marquette, Seneca, Indian Creek, Somonauk, Westmont, Wilmington and Yorkville all competed during the Class 1A Sectional track meet on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Seneca High School.
The Sycamore girls track and field team won the final three events at Friday's Interstate 8 Conference meet to claim the title over runner-up Morris and third-place Kaneland at Morris High School.

The Illinois Elementary School Association held its annual state track and field meets the last two weekends at EastSide Centre in East Peoria, with numerous athletes from area schools scoring top-eight, all-state finishes in the IESA’s multitude of divisions.
