Seneca junior Piper Stenzel and Dwight senior Isabella Dinelli both advanced to this weekend's state finals out of Monday's Class 1A Pontiac Girls Golf Sectional at Wolf Creek Golf Club.

Manteno emerged victorious to claim the IHSA Class 1A Dwight Regional at the Dwight Country Club on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025. Competing schools included Beecher, Bishop McNamara, Cissna Park, Coal City, Donovan, Dwight, Iroquois West, Grant Park, Manteno, Momence, Peotone, St. Anne/Clifton Central, Reed-Custer, Watseka and Wilmington.

Manteno's girls golf team had its top four golfers finish in the top 19 of the IHSA Class 1A Dwight Regional on Tuesday, propelling the Panthers to the program's first-ever regional championship.

The Lincoln-Way East girls golf team won the 2A Rich Township Girls Regional with a score of 296. Junior Sophia Klapper was the individual champion with a score of 70.

Oswego Co-Op sophomore Alli Wiertel shot a 4-under par 68 for an 11-shot victory at the Southwest Prairie Conference meet on Wednesday at Blackberry Oaks, leading her team to a 25-stroke win over runner-up Plainfield North with Plainfield East third.

La Salle-Peru's Mary Craven carded a solid 44, which included a string of seven bogies and a par, to not only earn medalist honors but also help the Cavaliers grab the triangular win over Coal City and Ottawa on Monday at Deer Park Golf Course.
