Motorcyclist injured in crash on Route 71 in Yorkville

A motorcyclist was injured in crash at 12:33 p.m. June 9 on Route 71 at Raintree Drive in Yorkville, according to Yorkville police.

In a press statement, police said the motorcyclist, a 47 year-old Plainfield resident, was transported to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora for treatment of a leg injury.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash, Birute P. Jakstys, 82, of the 1900 block of Weston Avenue, Yorkville, was cited for failure to yield.
