Oswego police arrest Aurora man on aggravated battery charges in school parking lot altercation

Oswego police arrested an Aurora man in connection with an altercation in which police say he struck another man with his vehicle in a school parking lot.

In a statement, police identified the suspect as Saul Garcia, 20, of the 2000 block of Georgetown Drive.

According to police, Garcia became involved in an altercation with the victim at 5:16 p.m. May 6 in the parking lot of East View Academy in the 4000 block of Route 71.

Police said Garcia struck the victim with his vehicle. The victim was injured and transported to an area hospital.

Garcia has been charged with two counts of aggravated battery, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and aggravated reckless driving. He was transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville where his bail was set at $10,000.
