High school sports roundup for Tuesday, Sept. 14: Sandwich girls golfers post lowest score of year, top Plano in dual meet

GIRLS GOLF

Sandwich 204, Plano 226

Alijah Campbell shot a 43, and the Indians posted their lowest nine-hole match score of the year in winning the dual at Edgebrook. Melody Goldstein, Jayden Baumbach and Georgia Vehe followed with scores of 51, 55 and 55.  

Plano’s Faith Malloy shot a 41 to earn medalist honors. Kendal Flodstrom posted a 53, KC Polomchak a 61 and Julianna Olivier a 71.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Kaneland d. Sandwich 25-12, 25-15

Alexis Sexton had nine assists, Audrey Rome had four kills and Claire Allen two kills and four service points for the Indians (9-8, 1-2).
