Batavia-based discount grocer seeks to hire for retail, warehouse, corporate positions

BATAVIA – Aldi, a discount grocery store chain based in Batavia, announced plans to host a national hiring week Sept. 20-24 for positions in its stores, warehouses and corporate offices in Aurora, Batavia and Naperville, according to a news release.

More employees are sought to prepare the company for the holiday season, the release stated.

Local stores and warehouses will host interview events during that week to fill positions for cashier, stocker, store and warehouse associate, according to the release.

Those interested in the open positions at Aldi may apply at careers.aldi.us/now-hiring.

Aldi’s national average starting wages for open store and warehouse positions will be $15 and $19 per hour, respectively, based on market and positions.

Employees also are eligible for a range of benefits, including health care and retirement plans, financial wellness and employee assistance programs and paid time off, the release stated.
