St. Charles Public Library Concert Series to present F-PLUS trio

The St. Charles Public Library’s Sunday Concert Series will present F-PLUS at 2 p.m. on March 27 in the Carnegie Community Room, according to a news release.

F-PLUS is a trio committed to creating a repertoire for its unique instrumentation. F-PLUS musicians include violinist Luke Lentini, Clarinetist Juan Gabriel Olivares and percussionist Josh Graham.

The trio has premiered and commissioned over 40 works for violin, clarinet/bass clarinet and percussion, receiving grants and awards from Chamber Music America, the Barlow Endowment, the Canada Council for the Arts and Irish Arts Council. The program will include works written for F-PLUS by Chicago Symphony Mead Composer-in-Residence Jessie Montgomery, Matthew Barnson, Liza Sobel, the world premiere of “Fleet Feather” by composer Charles Peck and works by Christopher Stark and Kevin Puts, the release stated.

Since 1981, the library has featured a wide variety of musical performances. The public is invited and concerts are free to attend. The St. Charles Public Library is located at 1 S. Sixth Ave.
