A Geneva man was charged with driving under the influence after police in Elburn said he sat at a traffic light “for approximately 30-45 minutes.”

Elburn police said the incident occurred at about 5:45 a.m. Dec. 28 at the corner of Keslinger and Anderson roads.

Ian T. Lyons, 30, was charged with misdemeanor DUI and operating a vehicle without evidence of registration, a petty offense, according to police and Kane County court records.
