St. Bede and Putnam County moved on in the postseason, while Princeton, DePue and LaMoille saw their volleyball seasons come to a close in IHSA regional play Tuesday.

At Granville: St. Bede defeated La Moille 25-13, 25-14 and host Putnam County downed DePue 25-6, 25-9 in the Class 1A regional quarterfinals at RM Germano Gymnasium.

St Bede and PC will meet in Wednesday’s semifinals at 7 p.m. following the Wethersfield/Galva match at 6 p.m.

At Chillicothe: No. 7 Princeton fell 25-17, 25-20 to No. 3 El Paso-Gridley in the second semifinal of the night in the Class 2A IVC Regional.

Kewanee gave top-seed IVC an early scare by winning the first set 25-20 in the first match of the night. The Ghosts rallied to take the match with 25-19, 25-16 wins.

IVC (25-10) and EPG (26-5) will meet for the title at 6 p.m. Thursday.
