A missing suburban woman who set off a weekend search in southwest La Salle County has been found safe, Hoffman Estates police confirmed Wednesday.

The search began when a red Jeep was found near Interstate 39 near Tonica. Wednesday, Hoffman Estates Sgt. Dan Donahue said the woman was located safe in Ottawa. There was no additional information on the circumstances surrounding her disappearance and recovery.
