A 23-year-old man is listed in critical condition in a Chicagoland hospital and his alleged attacker is in custody following an incident early Tuesday morning in Bradley.

Two people were taken to an area hospital for treatment following a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-tractor trailer in Iroquois County Saturday.

An Illinois State Trooper suffered non-life-threatening injuries Saturday when their squad car was struck by a driver who failed to move over on Interstate 57 in Kankakee County.

The Kankakee County Sheriff’s Department and Kankakee County Coroner’s office are investigating a fatal vehicle vs. pedestrian accident that occurred Thursday in Yellowhead Township. The victim, Jacob M. Riechers, of Grant Park, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Richard Wayt, 77, and Kathleen Wayt, 63, were identified as the people who were killed in the crash in Peotone Township in Will County.

Gregory R. Tuggle was indicted by a Kankakee County grand jury Thursday for the charges of attempted murder in the first degree, home invasion and aggravated battery with a firearm.
