PRINCETON — The Kewanee man accused of killing a Princeton teenager in a 2020 trailer park shooting this week motioned Judge James Andreoni for approval to see redacted discovery in his case.

Davijon Robinson is accused of shooting 17-year-old Caleb Conrath inside his home at Hillview Trailer Park in June of 2020. Conrath was pronounced deceased at St. Clare (formerly Perry Memorial) Hospital in Princeton — his mother, who also was wounded in the shooting, was treated and released from St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

On Monday, Robinson, appearing with Public Defender Ray Nolasco, motioned to have discovery, evidence from the alleged crime, released to him in a redacted form. Nolasco is in possession of the full discovery, which Robinson is free to review in his presence. The redacted information will remove identifying details about witnesses including addresses, driver’s license, social security numbers and other such information.

Andreoni approved the motion, reminding Robinson that he is allowed to see only the redacted forms outside the presence of his attorney and he is forbidden from taking the information into his cell and/or sharing any information from the discovery with anyone within the jail.

Robinson is scheduled for trial Nov. 29.
