A tornado warning was issued Monday for Bureau County, including the communities of La Moille, Cherry, Ladd and Arlington.

A report was issued that a tornado was spotted on the ground, about 8 miles northeast of Princeton, heading toward Ladd at about 7:30 p.m. Another spotting included a warning for the Arlington area. Authorities in LaMoille warned residents to take cover.

A wall cloud moved through Bureau County just west of Princeton just before 7 p.m. Monday. The severe thunderstorm produced hail and damaging winds in its path.

Bureau, La Salle, Putnam and other neighboring counties are under a tornado watch until 10 p.m. Monday.
Storms produced a number of tornado warnings Monday throughout northern Illinois, including a warning that was issued in the Sublette, Compton, West Brooklyn and Paw Paw area.
