As expected, Bears quarterback Justin Fields will not play Thursday against the Detroit Lions. Fields has officially been ruled out due to a rib injury.
Also out is defensive tackle Akiem Hicks (ankle) and running back Damien Williams (calf). Receiver Allen Robinson (hamstring) is doubtful.
Four key contributors are also questionable for Thursday: safety Eddie Jackson (hamstring), defensive end Mario Edwards Jr. (ribs), safety Tashaun Gipson (chest) and receiver Marquise Goodwin (shoulder).
Bears coach Matt Nagy had previously announced that Andy Dalton will start in place of Fields. Nick Foles will serve as the backup quarterback.
The Bears and Lions kick off at 11:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
