Police Reports
A man listed as homeless by police was charged with burglary and possession of stolen property after breaking into garages in Spring Valley. Frederick M. Thomas, 25, without residence was arrested at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at a residence in the 400 block of W. Devlin Street, according to Spring Valley police.
He was charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of possession of stolen property.
Police initially received four reports of burglary to garages or vehicles that occurred between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning in the 200-300 blocks of West Devlin Street, according to Spring Valley police.
This is the fourth time Frederick has been arrested in Spring Valley since February.
Sarah A. Burgh, 26, of 3016 Seventh St., Peru was charged with battery at 8:06 p.m. Wednesday at McDonald's after she allegedly punched a 19-year-old woman, according to Spring Valley police.
Christina E. McGee, 24, of 945 Lafayette St., La Salle was charged with damage to property at 1:44 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of Lafayette, La Salle police said.
Rodney T. Roberts, 25, of 918 10th St., La Salle, turned himself in at 2:21 p.m. Wednesday at the La Salle police station on a warrant for domestic battery, according to La Salle police.
Mark D. Holm, 59, of 415 12th St., Peru was charged with domestic battery at 11:45 p.m. at his residence, according to Peru police.
Nicholas R. Nilsson, 20, of 944 Third St., La Salle was charged with driving while revoked and speeding at 1:36 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of East Sixth Street, according to Spring Valley police.
George Schweickert, 46, of 1570 N. 20th Road, Unit 2, Ottawa was charged with domestic battery after La Salle County deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at 8:51 p.m. Tuesday at Schweickert's residence, according to La Salle County Sheriff's Office.
Katherine Thorson, 38, of 724 Chambers St., Ottawa was picked up at 5:29 p.m. Wednesday on an original warrant for deceptive practices, according to La Salle County Sheriff's Office. Bond was set at $10,000.
MENDOTA — Kurtis A. Kelchner, 27, of 137 U.S. 34, Apt. 2, Mendota was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at 11:08 p.m. Thursday, according to Mendota police.
